Review by hotel critic
Hotel Tomboctou is a delightful oasis nestled in the heart of Todra Valley, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. As I arrived, the enchanting atmosphere transported me back to the golden age of explorers, with its clay architecture and stunning floral gardens setting the tone for an authentic Moroccan experience. The comfortable rooms, complete with air-conditioning and free WiFi, provided an ideal respite after a day of hiking in the breathtaking surrounding landscapes. Dining at the hotel was a treat; the traditional Moroccan cuisine served on the terrace was both delicious and rejuvenating, perfectly complemented by refreshing drinks by the pool. The welcoming staff and supportive owner, deeply involved in the local culture and restoration efforts, enriched my stay with valuable insights about the region. Hotel Tomboctou is a charming gem for anyone journeying along the road of the thousand Kasbahs, offering a true taste of Berber life and the natural wonders of southern Morocco.
